Meet Ann Bartus
A former AP English teacher and longtime college counselor, Ann has supported students in both public and private schools and has worked with families across the country. She was the inaugural recipient of the Joyce Ivy College Counselor of the Year award.
Her training includes programs at the Harvard Summer Institute on College Admissions, the Stanford Admissions Symposium, the UCLA College Counseling Certificate Program, and Columbia University’s Teachers College Advising Program.
Ann has served as an application reader for the University of California–Berkeley and the University of San Francisco, evaluating thousands of applications and scholarship essays. She has presented her college readiness work at state conferences and has visited dozens of campuses across the country through invitational admissions programs.
She holds a master’s degree from Regis University and is a member of HECA, IECA, MACAC, and NACAC—professional associations that maintain high ethical and professional standards for college consultants.
